HEALTHCARE CATEGORY
Under current IRCC requirements for the Healthcare and Social Services category, an eligible candidate must have accumulated qualifying work experience.
AT LEAST
of qualifying work experience within the past 3 years
The experience may be:
Full-time or equivalent part-time experience
Gained in Canada or abroad
In one eligible healthcare occupation
The experience does not need to be continuous
You must also meet the minimum criteria for one of the immigration programs managed through Express Entry and the requirements of the applicable invitation round.

For specialist physicians, surgeons, general practitioners and family physicians, Canada has introduced additional measures that may be relevant where the applicable requirements are met

PNP Immigration Spaces
Federal immigration spaces through the Provincial Nominee Program for qualifying medical doctors with applicable job offers or provincial support.
Expedited Work Permit Processing
Certain eligible medical doctors nominated by a province or territory may qualify for faster work-permit processing where IRCC requirements are met.
